“SHOP LOCALLY” BANNERS DO THEIR JOB FOR LOCAL BUSINESS

SSTAGE 2 OF THE “SHOP LOCAL” CAMPAIGN featured 2 display banners on the MB Council Notice Stand located near the Main Street roundabout. The Council have been very supportive of the Chamber campaign, which has now been finalised.                              Feedback has been very positive about the “Shop Local” concept and has encouraged the Chamber to continue the campaign on an ongoing basis to ensure the message resonates with both the business and general community.

CHAMBER MONTHLY MEETING DATES RETURN TO NORMAL

The decision for the Chamber Networking Breakfasts monthly dates has been confirmed by the Chamber Committee as the 2nd Wednesday of each month. It is intended that monthly networking breakfast meetings back will feature a combination of Guest Presenters interspersed with the very popular “Meet and Greet” format that allows local business owners to get to know one another a little better.

Meeting venue will be The Flying Nun Café, 16 Station Street Samford, getting under way at 6.45am with a complimentary” coffee “heart starter”, followed by a cooked breakfast & fruit platters. Current and social distancing guidelines will apply, with a maximum limit of 28 guests.

Members, Guests and Visitors are welcome to attend. Registration is required via the SDCoC website on a      FIRST- IN basis. Members registration fee $27.50, Guests & Visitors registration fee $30.00

  “LOCAL AS QUEENSLAND” CAMPAIGN GAINS TRACTION

The new “Local as Queensland” campaign created by Junior Chamber of Commerce Brisbane has gained the support of the CCIQ and is rapidly expanding through the state. Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce has been one of the first chambers to become involved in this initiative.
