“SHOP LOCALLY” BANNERS REMAIN FOR JULY

STAGE 2 OF THE “SHOP LOCAL” CAMPAIGN features 2 display banners on the MB Council Notice Stand located near the Main Street roundabout. The Council have been very supportive of the Chamber initiative which will remain in place for as long as the Council allows.                              Feedback has been very positive about the “Shop Local” concept and has encouraged the Chamber to continue the campaign on an ongoing basis to ensure the message resonates with both the business and general community.

 

CHAMBER MONTHLY MEETING RE-START DATE

A decision on a re-start date for Chamber Networking Breakfasts has been confirmed by the Chamber Committee as Wednesday 9th September 2020. Our first networking meeting back after Covid-19 will feature the very popular “Meet and Greet” format that allows local business owners to get to know one another a little better.

Meeting venue will be The Flying Nun Café, 16 Station Street Samford, getting under way at 7.00am with a complimentary” coffee “heart starter”, followed by a cooked breakfast & fruit platters. Current restrictions and social distancing guidelines, including protective gear, will apply, with a maximum limit of 24 guests (reduced from previous 28/30).

Members, Guests and Visitors are welcome to attend. Registration is required via the SDCoC website on a      FIRST- IN basis. Members registration fee $24.00, Guests & Visitors registration fee $27.50

  “LOCAL AS QUEENSLAND” CAMPAIGN GAINS TRACTION

The new “Local as Queensland” campaign created by Junior Chamber of Commerce Brisbane has gained the support of the CCIQ and is rapidly expanding through the state. Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce has been one of the first chambers to become involved in this initiative.

See below link that opens to the campaign. Following through to the state map opens up to the features of Samford & regions, as well as including the Chamber Facebook Page with up to date posts about the Chambers activities within the Valley.
