The final SDCoC Breakfast Networking meeting for 2020 will be held on Wednesday 11 November 2020, and will feature our regular Meet ’n’ Greet format, and as traditional will be the last get together until the Chamber resumes operations on Wednesday 10th February 2021.The Chamber has extended an invitation to Glen Brown (CEO & Director) and Craig Syphers (Group Operations Manager) from Reside Communities (Samford Grove Retirement Village) to came along to meet local business owners and provide a short overview of the current & future plans in place for their project, including their desire to source local where possible. They also have taken the opportunity to support the Chamber by providing a $500 co-sponsorship for the 2020 Christmas Lights.

Glen has 30 years’ corporate experience as a senior executive in the retirement village, property and financial services industries, with the past 16 years spent in senior roles in the retirement village industry.Glen was previously a Chartered Accountant (CA) and is currently a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA) and a Chartered Secretary (FCIS).Glen is also a member of the Property Council of Australia’s Retirement Living Council (QLD Division).
Glen has a unique passion for creating market leading retirement villages which are inclusive with their local communities.
Craig Syphers Group Operations Manager
Craig brings over 25 years of 5 star hotel and resort management to his role as Reside’s Group Operations Manager, leading our village teams in delivery of high quality retirement living experiences.For the past 15 years, Craig has held General Management roles with leading hotels in Sydney, Cairns, Melbourne, Singapore and Brisbane, including multi-site management. He was responsible for refurbishing two of the hotels he led whilst they traded successfully, and for leading a team designing a brand new 5 star hotel in Singapore from the ground up. Having trained initially as an apprentice chef, before moving into food and beverage and accommodation management, Craig strives for the finest hospitality ensuring ultimate customer satisfaction.
He prides himself on establishing lasting relationships and is looking forward to being part of the ongoing growth of Reside Communities.
