2021 has again been a challenging year for businesses in the Samford Valley. There has been strong support from the wider community for the Samford Chamber’s ongoing Buy Local campaign, and as the year draws to a close, the Samford Business Community is being encouraged to participate in the 2021 Business Christmas Lights Competition.
Business owners – dig out and dust off your Christmas lights (electric & solar) for a bigger and better display than ever to send off 2021. This competition is always hotly contested – don’t be discouraged because it’s not how big the lights are, it’s how you light up that counts!
We welcome back Chamber members Elders Insurance North Lakes and Samford Grove Retirement Village, who will co-sponsor the competition offering $500 prizemoney to each winner in the following categories:
Elders Insurance North Lakes Best Lights Display for a business of 5 or less staff (including owners); and Samford Grove Retirement Village Best Lights Display for a business of 6 or more staff (including owners).
The Chamber is pleased to be supporting the Samford & Districts Progress & Protection Association’s 2021 Christmas On Main Street activities, which will be held on Saturday 4th December. With something for all the family, there will be great activities up and down the street to enjoy while taking in the Chamber’s 2021 Business Christmas Lights displays. With local traders opening late, it’s a great way to get in some Christmas shopping and meet up with family and friends at the many hospitality outlets on the street.
