Just to advise that Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce committee has made the decision to cancel the unconference 2019 event planned for Thursday 25^th July at the Samford Farmers Hall.

It was considered that the final registration number was not sufficient to undertake the exercise and be able to get the desired result that comes with numbers required in or around the 20-25 mark.

The Chamber has made the decision that the most efficient way is to refund your booking fee through the website Pay Pal facility at no cost to you.

All registered guests will be contacted by this email, and you may also receive a short text that will ask you to check your emails.

The Chamber apologises for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused.

An unconference is like a normal conference but with no predefined agenda, no predefined list of speakers, no slides, and… er… actually it’s not very much like a normal conference at all!  It’s more like an alternative to a conference. If the purpose of a conference is to collaborate and  communicate, then an unconference will often fulfill the same purpose in a more simple, fun, and effective way !

• The 1 Rule : The only rule at an unconference is the ‘Law of Two Feet’ :
  “If at any time during our time together you find yourself in any situation where you are neither learning nor contributing, use your two feet, go someplace else.”
