Local Wights Mountain resident Megan Avard will be Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce’s Guest Speaker at our Chamber Network Breakfast on Wednesday 12th May 2021. Megan has over 30 years’ experience and specialist knowledge in public and private sectors. Megan identified a gap in the market to provide value for money to organisations in risk management and founded SurePact in August 2017. Megan holds Degrees in Secondary Teaching, Business and Education, is a Paul Harris Fellow and recognised at State and National level for Innovation, more recently QLD’s Entrepreneur of the Year and previously Townsville’s Corporate Business Woman of the Year.

The May meeting will also mark the end of an era for the Samford Chamber as increased numbers will mean that the venue for this and future Networking Breakfast will move from the iconic Flying Nun Café to the new Samford Community Hub. The Chamber has appreciated the many years of service provided by the Flying Nun management and staff.

The Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce meets on the 2^nd Wednesday of each month. The venue for the breakfast is The Samford Community Hub (SCHUB). In addition to a guest speaker, the breakfast offers a “wake-up” complimentary coffee at 6.45am, followed at 7.00am by a healthy breakfast combination platter for just $27.50 per head for members, and $30 per head for guests and visitors. The meeting concludes at 8.30am.
