The 2018 Christmas Business Lights competition is now done & dusted. The campaign was an initiative to encourage the Samford Business Community to support the Samford Chamber’s campaign to light up the village.

This year, the Samford Chamber co-sponsored with Elders Insurance North Lakes to fund the winners $500 prize. The finalists were announced at the recent “Samford Christmas in the Village” community event held at John Scott Park on 7th December
Local Moreton Bay Councillor Darren Grimwade , along with Lorraine Parker from Elders Insurance North Lakes and Samford Chamber of Commerce Secretary Angela Galvin were present to declare the winner to be: 

The Winner of the 2018 Christmas Light competition:

  • The Famous Samford Patisserie & Cafe , with owner Anthony Newton receiving the $500 prize. Anthony announced that he would be donating $250 to Riding for the Disabled and $250 to the Samford Support Network 

High Commendations:

  • Samford Valley Veterinary Hospital, represented by Dr Rachel Tan, and
  • Belle Property Samford, represented by Colin Hatch, both received High Commendation awards for their efforts.

Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce President Graham Arnold thanked the many Samford business houses, along with the Village Pump and the Samford Progress Association for their support of this years campaign, and hope that the business community can go bigger and shinier for Christmas 2019.
